Supplier Terms
These extra terms form an agreement between the supplier and Shane Fletcher, operating FurFinds as an individual. They apply whenever a business or trader creates a supplier account, submits an application, publishes a profile or product, sends a quote, or messages a customer through FurFinds.
Suppliers remain responsible for their identity, listings, product legality, customer contracts, payments, delivery, returns and regulatory obligations.
1. Business capacity and authority
You confirm that you act for a genuine business or trade and have authority to bind it. Application details, contact information, trading history, addresses, company or VAT details and supporting documents must be accurate and current.
You must tell FurFinds promptly about changes to ownership, trading identity, contact details, insolvency, regulatory action or anything else that may affect customer safety or trust.
2. Application and approval
FurFinds may request evidence, carry out proportionate checks, ask for changes, reject an application or suspend an approved profile. FurFinds is not required to publish every applicant.
Approval means the application met FurFinds’ platform requirements at the time of review. You must not describe it as a guarantee, accreditation or endorsement. A verification label may only be used exactly as FurFinds provides it.
3. Product and fur claims
Every listing must be accurate, clear and not misleading. You are responsible for the title, description, photographs, brand, species or fur type, real or faux status, condition, measurements, price, quantity, availability, origin claims and delivery information.
Where a species or material is uncertain, say so. Do not present an estimate as fact. FurFinds may label a claim as seller-stated unless reliable evidence has been reviewed.
4. Prohibited and controlled items
You must not list counterfeit, stolen, unsafe or unlawfully imported goods. You must not list protected-species products, or goods requiring permits or provenance records, unless the sale is lawful and you hold the required evidence.
FurFinds may request authenticity, provenance, import, species or ownership evidence and may remove or restrict a listing while it is checked.
5. Consumer information and rights
Where you sell as a trader, you must give customers the information required by applicable consumer law, including your trading identity, geographic address, total price, delivery arrangements, cancellation and return information, and complaint details.
You must honour applicable statutory rights. FurFinds wording, platform limits or account action cannot be used to avoid your obligations to a customer.
6. Prices, quotes and fulfilment
Prices and quotes must be genuine and clearly state currency, delivery charges, minimum quantities, wholesale terms, lead times and any other unavoidable costs.
You are responsible for payment arrangements, fraud checks, dispatch, customs, taxes, delivery, returns, refunds, chargebacks and after-sales support. Do not pressure customers into payment methods that remove normal buyer protection.
7. Images, brands and intellectual property
You must own or have permission to use every image, logo, description and asset you submit. Do not impersonate another business or imply brand authorisation that does not exist.
You grant FurFinds the content licence in the Terms of Use for operating and promoting your profile and products. You remain responsible for third-party claims arising from your content.
8. Customer conduct and data
Use customer details only to answer the relevant enquiry, quote or transaction and for any other purpose the customer has clearly agreed to. Do not add customers to marketing lists without a valid legal basis.
Messages must remain professional and lawful. Do not harass customers, request unnecessary identity documents or share their personal information without permission.
9. Reports and cooperation
You must cooperate with reasonable investigations, preserve relevant evidence and respond within the timeframe FurFinds gives you. Repeated complaints, misleading listings or refusal to cooperate may result in restrictions or suspension.
FurFinds may disclose information where lawfully required, to prevent fraud or harm, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
10. Tax and platform reporting
You are responsible for your own tax, VAT, customs and record-keeping duties. FurFinds may request tax or identity information where needed to comply with platform-reporting or other legal obligations.
FurFinds currently does not collect customer purchase payments or reliably know completed transaction values. If that model changes, suppliers may be asked for additional reporting information.
11. Suspension and termination
FurFinds may hide products, prevent new quotes, restrict messaging, suspend a profile or end access for breach, risk, inactivity, complaints, legal requirements or conduct likely to harm users or the platform.
Ending access does not remove obligations arising from earlier customer dealings, complaints, refunds, investigations or intellectual-property claims.
